Plaque biofilm bacteria will gather on appliances similar to its attachment to tooth surfaces, therefore it is important to clean regularly.
 
Part fill sink with water (if you drop the appliance it won’t break!). Brush all surfaces, especially the surface which fits against the teeth and gums. Rinse under water then place in a soaking bath.
 
Dissolve cleaning tablet in warm water and place appliance in the bath making sure it is covered with water. Leave to soak for at least 15 minutes to disinfect and help prevent discolouration, plaque / tartar build up, Candida albicans (oral thrush) or Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Rinse with water before placing in mouth.
